The Simple Church Concept

Page history last edited by Trey Turner 14 years, 6 months ago

Some expressions of simple church appeal directly to particular verses of scripture which speak to practices of the earliest Christians. "They met house to house" (Acts 8:3; Acts 20:20) "And the church in her house" (Rom. 16:5; 1 Cor. 16:19) Particularly, the involvement or contribution of everyone is often lost on many congregations. Many congregations have a designated teacher or speaker when the earliest Christians were instructed by Paul, "What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church." (1 Cor. 14:26; NIV)
